Diocesan Phased Reopening
Dear Friends:I pray that all of you are in good health. You are probably aware by now that our Archbishop and Diocesan Council has approved a phased reopening of our Parishes. Please see the Diocesan Website for more details. We are currently in Phase 1 with no in-person contact allowed. On June 14 Phase 2 will begin. The Archbishop has made it clear that there is no expectation or pressure from the Diocese to move into Phase 2. Any move into Phase 2 requires a Parish to apply to the Diocese to do so, and to have approval from the Diocese. Your Rector, Wardens, and Parish Council have considered the issues, and together we agree that All Saints WILL NOT move into Phase 2 on June 14. We will remain in Phase 1 with no in-person contact, and continue with our Sunday ZOOM Service only. We will wait to reopen after Phase 3 has begun. As of yet, there is no date set for the beginning of Phase 3. Phase 4 begins when a COVID19 vaccine has been discovered. We are all wanting to reopen as soon as possible, but the safety of our Parishioners is upper most in our minds. Please continue to pray for this situation. In time, this too shall pass. But for the moment we need to be patient and understanding as we figure out how to respond to a very fluid set of circumstances. Thank you for your attention to this important matter. If you have any ideas or comments, please let me know. Blessings, Paul Bowie+
