Message from Reverend Paul

Dear Parishioners:

I hope that you are all well and healthy.  Our family in the Rectory is well.  Take advantage of the spring weather and go for a walk!  I want to address the recent announcement from the Provincial Government on the easing of some COVID19 restrictions, and how that affects All Saints, Mission.  In a word, nothing that has been announced so far will change anything for us yet.  Physical distancing for gatherings still applies, and no gathering of more than 50 people is still in force.  Our main Sunday Service regularly has around fifty people attending.  The sanctuary at All Saints, with physical distancing, will hold no more than thirty people.  There is no way we can accommodate an in-person Sunday Service under the present restrictions.  Added to this is the consideration that the Archbishop has banned all in-person Services until June 14.  She has stated that her wish is the Diocese will open AS A DIOCESE, all at the same time, not when individual parishes choose.  My understanding is that the Archbishop will be providing updated guidelines on Monday.  All this is very frustrating.  I can only appeal for patience and ask you to keep this situation in your prayers.

  Blessings, Paul Bowie+
